His formative years were spent on moderate small finite family in Kolkata. Where has an environment of etiquette and rule. Since, that time the nature has been only friend out of his house .This ideally experience gave him an understanding of mans relationship with nature and help him develop a strong work ethic. His education was elective and included both the applied arts and formal degree education . He stopped the 1st year degree on Commerce in 1999 under Calcutta University . Diploma in applied arts in 2000 from M.E.E. dept by govt. of West Bengal INDIA . Then he saw the obvious talent in applied arts. But he was not satisfied with applied arts in his inner-mind . From that time he started researching out the contemporary art for his mental satisfaction and visiting the all art galleries of Kolkata. During this time he discovered water color as a medium and began to paint again and there after achieved quick success in art competitions and shows. Now, Arup is a reputed young painter of Kolkata. Though , he is young in age but he creates paintings of much high standard . Feeling for art is inherent in him . His aptitude in painting has been well praised by the art critics and art lover. He participated in many group shows and also organized several solo exhibitions and every time his paintings have been highly lauded by the viewers. His most paintings are of water color; some are oil and acrylic. Rain is the very most event of his painting . His painting are layered with fogy and misty tonal quality . His highly captured the moist and water image of the main way of city, and city life in different mood and atmosphere . These tonal translucent effect is make an impressionist . His sketches vivid paintings of men of different constitution, and that of the city of Kolkata from different view. He is excellent in presenting the important places of Kolkata through his painting. His paintings are very much attractive and appreciable indeed. His admires are of the opinion that his regular afford towards creative painting will enrich the field of works and more over the reflection of the contemporary society and surrounding through his painting will attract the people towards the art of paintings. He lives & works in Kolkata.
